Mayday五月天

Just came back from their concert today, SUPER DUPER KILLER O M F G.
IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL SO TOUCHING AND SO FREAKING DUPER GOOD.
I hope they come back again next year and I will DEFINITELY GO AGAIN.

The stage effects was beautiful!!!! A brilliant use of space and LED screens to create a lot of really cool effect, the whole atmosphere was just crazy high and so beautiful! ALSO THE LIGHTSTICK IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING -SCREAMS- I mean I thought it was just a lightstick that can change colour BUT WHO KNEW, THE LIGHTSTICK CHANGED COLOUR BY ITSELF. WHAT IS THIS SORCERY?????? I think it might be wirelessly controlled or something but it was REALLY COOL that all we did was switch it on, and then the WHOLE STADIUM WERE ONE COLOUR. TOO PRETTY. It looked REALLY touching and beautiful omg, i almost wanted to tear at so many parts ;A;

Hearing them live is the BEST THING EVER. How do I even listen to digital format from now on ;A; Ah xin's voice is beautiful, powerful, and the greatest!! Jia Jia was here as a guest too, her voice is so angelic and omg her notes and so beautiful I can't even describe how wonderful it is *A*

The clips in between were really cool. Jerry Yan and Lin Yi Cheng was acting in it, and there is so many so many so many deep meaning behind everything, and it was such a touching concert I just really want to just roll there forever and ever. So much feels, so much love, so many touching moments.

SOBS. Now i need to go drown in my post-concert feels.

Also, MP (MagicPower??) sounds pretty good, shall go check them out now. And also Rene Liu Lou Ying's new song, Yes, I do, is very nice too!!!

I got ambushed at Ambush.

As title. I didn't know the homodachis had a surprise for me and I honestly thought I was just gonna meet KY for dinner lmao. And then when i reach the place Takachin, Miya, Rin and Sen was there and i literally was like O_O

Ambush is good! I like Ambush food, it's pretty tasty and best part they have Rosti. I was really hungry so I picked spaghetti instead sobs ;u; the cheese sausage was a bit too salty, but the mushroom one was pretty good! It doesn't actually have a really strong mushroom taste but close enough. Pretty affordable though, that's for sure!

Thanks guys for the surprise and the really cute alpaca www It's so white that I think i might dirty it omg.

Now i suddenly crave for Dulcet & Studios, lol

Another +1 to age.

Basically, Happy Birthday to me! Pretty disappointed, it was the usual bad day to be really honest, and in fact, it was just like any other day that I'm really pissed and really upset but that's normal so whatever, moving on. At least I got to eat yummy cake, and got mum to make a home-cook feast (simple meal actually) for me. Well, I don't know if the days are gonna get any better, but I sincerely hope they would. It's been a horrible year since start of year, and I really pray hard that the later half of the year is gonna get better, it had better be better or I don't know anymore.

So let's talk about Birthdays. Since I'm bored, I tried to list down reasons why do people celebrate it and why birthdays should be spent feeling happy, all chirpy, and all hyped up.. I mean Happy Birthday just sounds like some greetings, it lacks feeling sometimes (or maybe I'm thinking too much into this) but hey, it's a day to celebrate!

1. It's a day to have fun.

Basically, birthday means party, it means good meals, cakes, delicious food, and a day of wishes and greetings, lots of awesome gifts, lots of smiles, lots of fun and lots of things to be happy about. It's a really good chance to just call some people that you haven't met for a long while out and then just hang out and do some catching up, talk about life and enjoy the company of each other. If you'd ask me, yup, that's pretty much all to it. Of course, if someone you're interested in is celebrating their birthday today, it's a perfect chance to buy them something nice, or make them something nice, and score some points for yourself. Wonderful opportunity.

2. It's a day of joy.

Joy of what? Of you being born, of your mum free of the burden in her womb, and in celebration of a new life born into this miserable world. Welcome to life. It's a day when your parents hold you in their arms and feel the joy of an addition to the family, it's the start of a new story, the beautiful beginning of a new life; and of course, I believe it is the day that your parents feel the happiest, and most blessed - or maybe at least most parents. But birthday is meant to celebrate the birth of yours, a day that should be happy since... well... you're born :-) A friend once wrote something like instead of 'happy birthday', 'thank you for being born' sounds way better - and i totally agree.

3. It's a day to be selfish.

....or not. Birthday person is king, is probably the rule of thumb at many places. The birthday person gets to demand anything they want - where they wanna eat at, what they wanna do, what they wanna be gifted, etc etc. Basically it's a good day to act King/Queen and just state your demands because people would just give you 'face' and allow you to be wilful for once. Of course, it's not like you ask something from your parents and they'll give it to you definitely, but at least you have had your chance to take a stand and ask for something ;-)

4. It's the day you become wiser.

They always say, older is wiser - maybe not applicable to all - but at least with another +1 year to your age, you have successfully survived another year, you have learnt for another year, you have lived for another year. And in this year, the people you have met, the people you have interacted with, the lessons you have learnt (life lessons of course), and the things you have shared with people. Today marks the brand new day of another year ahead, another year filled with more learnings, more fun, and more things to anticipate. And as you grow, you learn, you experience, and you shall become wiser (if you've learnt well).

Actually, this post was really lame and I really sounded like some loser, so I'll just end here before I get exposed. Time to continue watching my Shinhwa on variety show and then go to bed and prepare for a brand new day of battle.

Okay bye.

Quick post on Poulet (Amazing French Roast Chicken)

Poulét

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/PouletSG
Location: Vivocity, Chinatown Point, Bugis+, Jurong Point, Great World City

Saw another photo of food in my phone and decided to revive this dead space once again.

Poulet, actually Poulét, claims to have "amazing french roast chicken". Since it's french cuisine, I think the taste might just not be too appealing to some, but in general I think it is worth trying since i do like it quite a bit ^^

Above was the food my friends and I ordered. Mashed potato, fries, half baked chicken, sausages, and then also a tiramisu for dessert!

I personally liked the Mashed potato and Chicken a lot! The mashed potato is pretty dry and doesn't have any sauce on it, which wasn't quite like the normal ones I always eat (e.g. Popeyes) but it taste REALLY good. I liked the taste of it a lot, very 香 and you can taste a very yummy thick and creamy potato that makes you take one bite after another. Hoho. Drools.

As for the chicken, the meat is REALLY tender! The sauce has a faint herb/spice taste? I don't really know what it is, lol but it is a creamy taste indeed. The chicken is pretty decent too, i like the skin part a lot hahaha. The only annoying thing is that since it's half chicken or full chicken this just means......... BONES. Lol. It's pretty impossible to cut everything up nicely and the plate simply became a mess (which i get REALLY bothered about). But definitely worth the try!!

The sausage is pretty normal but the sauce is what makes it special i guess, you get both a jam, and some mustard... Er.. Dip. Fries, on the other hand, is just.... Fries. Nothing special definitely.

Lastly, the hory Tiramisu. Beautiful thing omg. Thick and yummy and really flavourful! I like it a lot~ but it's a bit more moussey(?) and wet inside so yeah, it kinda melts in the mouth~ must try! (Very sweet though)

Well, in conclusion i think it's a pretty good place to go, probably should try it at least once! 4 of us went and each paid probably about $20+, pretty affordable i guess...

Plus, from their initial store at Bugis+, they have now expanded and have more stores at other places now - Chinatown Point, Great World City, Vivo City and also Jurong Point. Pretty convenient imo, And they're opened from 11:30am to 10pm ( i think)

Go ahead and visit their website to find out more: www.poulet.com.sg

Hoshino Cafe

Suddenly saw a photo of the food we ate at Hoshino Cafe and decided to talk about it.

Located at the new side of Plaza Singapura at Dhoby Ghaut, i've always wanted to visit Hoshino Cafe since their pancake looked REALLY fluffy and yummy. Plus, the queue was always really long. Singaporean style : got queue means got deal (jk).

But anyway, last month i finally got a chance to visit the cafe for lunch with my bunch of taitais and i must say the food was pretty good! At least it was within my expectations ;3;

We had a variety of food - i ordered Carbonara spaghetti, Sen ordered Omelette rice, Shizu and Rin bought sandwiches. We managed to order a 2-layer fluffy pancake too!!

I must say the pancake was REALLY good, so fluffy and so soft ;u; it was warm and yummy too. The sandwiches, according to the rest, was pretty good and quite worth it (actually I think very expensive wor). The omelette was pretty simple, but according to Sen, pretty good too. Well, their Carbonara was.... Really thick and creamy. I think if you're a fan of creamy stuff it would probably suit your tastebud but nah, it was too creamy for me. It tastes good though but since it was a big portion, halfway through the meal, the taste was just too much to take :c

I personally think if you're there for their 'cafe' menu, it's actually pretty pricing, but looking at how yummy all their things look, I think it is pretty okay and worth the try! Their main course are reasonably priced! But there isn't too much variety for main course.

I wanna go back there again though!

I AM BACK!

Or more like nobody knew I was gone anyway ww. It has been a long time since last update and a lot happened - most importantly, my previous laptop finally decided to die on me. It was already lagging REALLY bad and stuff and I wasn't too particular about that, but that ONE DAY, it decided to shut down on me and no matter how many times I try to turn it back on, it won't :\ I'm guessing something might have burnt out inside or something. The next day it worked, but only for a couple of hours and then it died again.

As much as I am excited about a new laptop, I REALLY dread the whole re-installation process, backing up and stuff like that. And comparing specs and stuff was a huge hassle too. I could really just send the laptop for servicing and upgrading, but after thinking through, I choose to  buy a new one anyway (who doesn't like new stuff anyway).

And so I've been stuck for 4-5 days trying to set things back up but I'm probably at the 25% mark only. Oh well. This is so troublesome ahhhhhhhhh. Anyway, I bought an Asus Ultrabook just in case anyone wanted to kaypoh, hahahhaha jk.

Other good stuff that happened in May was DEFINITELY Music Matters. Horycrap, I mean I GOT TO MEET FLUMPOOL AND IT IS FREE. OMGGGGGGGGGGGG. It was a really great event imo, I went a bit earlier and listened to The Chairman (Taiwan band) and fell in love with them too, LOL. Either way, I was really excited to see Flumpool and S.I.D. and omg it was such a blast!!! Listening to them LIVE and on digital is WAYYYYYYY different. Their vocals are amazing, music amazing, and best of all - the atmosphere was AMAZING. I was screaming and singing along at the top of my lungs, and by the end of that short gig, I totally lost my voice OTL It was really really really fun though! I hope more of my favourite jrock/jpop bands would come over to Singapore :(
