Laneige Sleeping Mask: Water Sleeping Pack_EX

I have no idea when I actually bought this, but well, jwen went to Korea back then and I thought I could ask her to buy for me ^_^ It was during the period when I bought that pretty useless egg pore thing. Okay, I found through that post that this was bought during April, lol.

Pretty decent stuff I must say. It absorbs well, smells good, and is really nice to use. Best of all, you do feel the water in your skin the next day when you wake up. Since Singapore's weather is so hot and humid and disgusting, putting this night mask once in a while is really nice.

I'm so lazy to talk about the benefits cos' I honestly don't know anything when I bought it and just bought it cos' I thought it looked pretty cool and yea, it smells really nice (lulz) so you can read up on it here if you would like: http://www.laneige.com.sg/product/detail.jsp?prdtCd=214157002

The price in Singapore is PRETTY steep, but I think you can use it for a couple of months so it's worth the price that you're paying for! It's definitely cheaper if you buy from Korea itself, so if you have a friend who's going, maybe you can ask them (poor friend though).

Here's the deal: I have like 5-6 packs of samples, or maybe more... And I'm not sure if anyone wants them. If you would like to get a pack or two from me, let me know?

There was some sale back then and I bought their Refiner and Emulsion thingy which I'll talk about next time if I remember and then we, being singaporeans, grabbed a handful of tester pack they had - and ofc, i didn't realize it was the same mask I had bought lulz.

I also have another sleeping mask that I like, which I think gives REALLY good results too, like visible stuff the very next day, and it's Naruko. I'll talk about it next time, if I can find the photos again and un-lazy myself...

Some very useless buy

I swear packaging will be the death of Wallet-kun one day. Walked into Watsons the other day > stopped by the make up shelves > walked out with a Bison Japan Sweet Salon Charming Girl Eyeliner (Bitter Chocolate) and also the new KATE base thing - the one that turns into powder from liquid in like... idk 15seconds? But not going to review that today~

Bison Japan Sweet Salon Charming Girl Eyeliner

By the looks of packaging, it looks REALLY cute, and it wasn't THAT expensive (can't remember but I think definitely within $20, gomen, I'll check and update this part next time) and since I wanted something brown for my eyes instead (or I'll look too fierce) so I decided to try it out!

It's dual side, one side liquid, the other side powder. I like the concept a lot. Like the typical Singaporean I am, 2-in-1 is always better than 1. Confirm jump in and buy one larh (jkjk). I thought it was pretty cool to have 2 functions in one pen and it looked convenient enough for a lazy person like me so I took it home~

The Liquid Tip vs the Powder Tip
Basically.................. The liquid tip is, well, too thick LOL. The liquid comes out A LOT and it's scary because the brush isn't THAT THIN either, and it felt like a tsunami on my eyes when I applied (joking, maybe just a small wave) and it felt REALLY wet and like a bother to wait for it to dry. PLUS, it doesn't dry that fast, and it smudges really fast too OTL

The powder side was slightly more useful, I like the tip and how it's easy to draw those eyeshadow-ish effect, but like the liquid side, the powder doesn't stay long either. It drops off really fast (max 2-3 hours in this Singapore heat) and it smudges and makes a mess??

but either way, have a photo of how it looks like?

In my honest opinion, I think this was a pretty wrong choice, I feel cheated by the packaging. It's pretty okay, and I like the powder part, but for someone like me who have to walk a lot to stations, to work, to places, and in this Singapore heat, smudging is a big no no. I sweat a lot easily too, and then everything just idk end up REALLY messy in the end sobs. I don't know if it'd work better on someone else, but I doubt I'll ever recommend this to my friends tbh :<

But SOBS since I bought it, I think I'll still use this but definitely not the liquid side.......

Tony Moly Eggpore Blackhead out Oil Gel

Recently jwen went to Korea so I asked her to help me get some skincare products!!

Tony Moly Eggpore Blackhead out Oil Gel

Details Of The Product Here
(oh hey, they're using Joomla)

It's only ₩8,800 if you buy from Korea itself, THAT IS LESS THAN SGD$10!!!! I honestly think if you're getting this, you can just buy it online to save a little ^^ otherwise, you can buy them in stores too if you don't mind paying a bit more than what you could have gotten it for.

But that aside, here's some photos of it.

I think.... the packaging is really cute, but honestly very redundant hahahhaa. I mean the whole top part is really just........................... nothing. And the packing somehow is a bit messy to deal with? Or maybe I'm just too clumsy for it. Either way, once you opened the cap up, you can see the gel inside, with bits of golden/orangey beads that will create the scrubbing effect later on!

Basically, just letting you see how it looks when used. Yup.

I've never really used blackhead removal products before, probably only the biore nose strip thing and previously some facial foam that I cannot even remember their brands but either way, those were pretty useless I guess. So this time I invested in a "proper" blackhead product and I guess it worked pretty well?

The smell is sweet and when you start rubbing the gel onto your face you could feel the beads inside as though you're really scrubbing it with something (ofc you are scrubbing it with something, what am I even talking about). But it does take quite a bit of time for the whole scrubbing process, and after washing off the gel you can instantly feel like your skin is a bit smoother and blackheads removed! So it does work, but I guess most blackhead products work that way isn't it.

Idk, i'm always skeptical about blackhead removal products I mean since the results isn't that permanent , you probably have to use this scrub every 2-3 days to remove blackheads and stuff. Cos' after not using it for 2-3 days my pores are slowly getting clogged and I could see some blackheads already, and being the lazy me, I think I probably wouldn't be dedicated enough to use it every other day (probably just once a week /lazy).

I would say I liked it, except for the fact that the packaging is really a pain to deal with, I tend to mess up with the cap and can't really close it properly OTL Hopefully with consistent usage, the blackheads issue would improve even more!

Starting to try the Laneige Sleeping Mask now! Shall post my thoughts about it another day.

阿嫲说:一白遮三丑。

哪三丑??

一白遮三丑 (yi bai zhe san chou) literally means One White Cover Three Ugly. Which 3 ugly, who knows. But since my grandma always say 女孩纸应该白白胖胖的 (girls should be fair and fat - literally white white fat fat) so I've always been aiming to become fair, and fat (no, i didn't aim to be, I merely am).

Either way, being fair in Singapore is SO HARD. Look at that horrible sun and all the heat every afternoon!! Plus, during lunch we gotta travel back and forth our new and old office, and the sun is REALLY horrible I tell you. And without proper sun-block and skin care product, tbh, I think I grew at least 1-2 shades darker in less than a month (which doesn't happen usually since I become fair pretty easily even if I tan). I WAS HORRIFIED. Whatever happened to 白白胖胖, I was 黑黑胖胖!!

Jokes aside, I was using Biore's sunblock previously but I decided it wasn't really good enough anymore, and I've been setting my eyes on Aqualabel for the longest time, and I finally caved in and bought their sunblock after considering over it for almost a month.

SPF 50+ \o/ It's watery when you squeeze it out, and it gets absorbed really fast! What I like about it is that there's no "oily" feel to it, and it's not like my face would be really sticky or something after using it (which is VERY important) And it brightens up the skin too, which acts as a very good base if you're the type like me who can't be bothered with make-ups ^ ^

And when I saw they had some whitening pack (3-in-1 box) I bought it immediately along with their sunblock. Not sure if it's still available as a pack now, but I think their product is really good at whitening omg (includes whitening toner, Emulsion, lotion/milk). Have been using it on and off once every few days (too lazy for daily application) and I must say it works really good! My skin got lighter, uneven skin-tone improved and my dark spots and stuff got lightened too!! It's really moisturizing too and it does make the skin have the QQ feel (lol).

Oh, But this product is really targeted at whitening and stuff only, so if you're looking for pore solutions or pimple scar, those kind of things right, I think this product itself wouldn't be enough, you'd probably have to use something else besides this to fix pore/blackheads issues (which I might blog about in another post later if I have the time lol)

So there you go, another expensive post of mine. I shall continue to work hard on becoming as fair as Sadako. Yosh.

To collagen or not to collagen, that's the question.

The question is: Does collagen works, or does it not work? Is it necessary, or is it redundant?

I guess best way to find out is to buy small packs like this, try if collagen works for you, before you proceed to buy for long-term consumption. So, to experiment it myself, (no, more like i was in Wastons and the package looks cute and it was affordable like sgd16.90) so i caved in a bought myself a 1 week pack to try if it works!

My friend did say that when she consumed collagen, she had a pimple breakout, but i didn't seem to experience that after my consumption, so it's probably that my skin is really horrible, or maybe this thing just have different effects on different people. Maybe some people desperately needs it, maybe some don't.

Which once again justified my impulsive buy-- I mean, to try the 1 week pack first :)

I think the brand is Collagen C, by Otsuka Group. (<< obviously impulsive buy)

I bought the passion fruit flavour that is more for elasticity and radiance because I preferred passion fruit over the other flavours (what a way to decide) and there's another 2 flavours, one more for firming, another more for anti-aging (i think it was pear).

Either way, i think the jelly is really yummy!!! It's slightly sour but i really liked the taste :)

As for the results, some things I noticed after consuming this jelly for 1 week:
1. uneven skin-tone improved
2. pores & pimple scars are less obvious now

* as a point of reference, when I was eating this, my usual routine stayed the same; my usual cleansing foam and moisturizer so there's no other variables i guess...?

I did want to include pictures, but turns out my iPhone camera quality was so crappy you can't even tell the difference of before and after and so I gave up because I can't turn back time to take a photo of my skin 1 week ago.

Anyway, I don't know if I'll continue consuming this yet since it is definitely an expensive investment if  I want to eat this for long-term... but I guess I'll probably get a friend to buy me the DHC powder one when she goes to Japan! I really wanted to try that one~

Oh, and before I forget..
